This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.” Exodus 12:13 NLT When I see the blood, I will pass over you. It was in this context that God made this promise, “The blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. The slain lamb was then to be brought into the home, roasted, and eaten by everyone inside. The lamb was to be slain and its blood applied to the two side posts and the upper door post of each house. To escape this judgement, the Jewish people were to follow God’s specific instructions for deliverance.Įach family was commanded to choose a lamb according to God’s specifications. This plague would bring death to the first born in the land. It happened on the night when God sent the tenth plague upon Egypt. The first Passover took place more than 3,000 years ago.
Jesus is called our Passover ( 1 Corinthians 5:7) and also the Lamb of God ( John 1:29).
Jesus was crucified at the time of the Jewish Feast of Passover. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 NKJV There’s nothing to worry about- so just be happy and laugh.BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY: “For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.” Hebrews 9:22 NLT NOTHING-ASOLUTELY NOTHING can complete you more than God can, so worrying about the future and what’s to come is silly and useless.You were designed to be & nothing can take away from that-it is God’s Grace. The numbers in 31:35 as discussed earlier mean “Complete, Divided Grace.” Within this verse every woman can take away two amazing things: But this verse tells us to simply “laugh without fear of the future.” Meaning it’s handled & already been taken care of. It’s easy to look at others lives and compare them to our own, thinking that we are not where should be. So many times I myself get wrapped up in worrying about what’s going to happen next in life or what my next move in life is going to be. The verse also says: “.& she laughs without fear of the future.” Being the tagline of my blog, this part is my personal daily reminder. Not only are you covered in strength, you are worthy of honor and respect as well. The word dignity has been defined as ‘the state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect’.
The state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect. We, YOU, wake up strong and dignified each and every day. Clothes are worn by everyone in society which means that we, as women, are literally walking around daily with a dress of strength and pumps of dignity on. Proverbs 31:25 starts out by saying : “She is clothed with strength and dignity….”. This week, I wanted to take a deeper look at the true meaning of the verse.
